Not Friendly

Yesterday,  my dad and I went to check our new house, and our land, and I put bird feeders at my bird area.  My dad was behind the house and I was watching the birds when I heard growling!  I turned and I saw an animal! it was a BOBCAT!!! walking up the path! I was so scared!! I ran to the house,  my dad saw it too.  He chased it off.  My legs were shaking so bad. I was so glad to see my dad coming. I also saw a lizard.

  1. Dear Kate,

WOW! That's scary! I've never seen a bobcat before! How close was it to you? Good thing your dad was there! I'm sure the birds will appreciate the feeders!☺ Do you know what kind of lizard you saw? Have a nice day!

  2. Hi Audrey,

I think it was about 30 feet away. I think the lizard I saw was a Skink. I also saw a bird nest. I will check out your blog. Thanks for the comments! :D

  4. Thank you. my dad called me to look at the nest on the ground. We took it and hanged it in a tree. p.s When winter comes, I hope to hand feed birds. Also, I see so many hawks but I do not know what kind they are. Did you ever hand fed a bird?

  5. Dear Kate,

No, I have not hand fed a bird. I have tried, but we have a cat, and I'm not sure if it would work.

But I have fed a groundhog! We have a groundhog that lives in our backyard, and we feed him things like hard biscuits and carrots. We just call him and he comes out. One time, my sister pet his head!

It snowed yesterday! Has it snowed where you are yet? It is supposed to snow more tomorrow. Have a nice day!
