Friendly Fawn

One day I was at our big pond. I was carving my new bow. Then I heard a running sound. I looked up and saw a very light brown, white-dotted black-eyed, skinny-legged fawn! It had run towards me. When it stopped running, it was standing right in front of me!!!

The Fawn just stood there. I did too. Then it finally ran away. It stopped and looked back. Then it disappeared into the meadow. I was so excited!

Hi I have news. One day my sister went outside and came back in and said that she thought there was a bird's nest on our brother's car. We went out there and found the nest near the wheel. We took it out and put it in a tree. There were no eggs in the nest. I wonder what bird made the nest.

Friendly nest!!

One day I was outside and I saw a Carolina Wren fly inside a pole. I noticed a stick was in its mouth. So...I got a yogurt container and nailed it in a bush. The next day, a nest was in there!! Weeks passed. One day my sister and I saw a Carolina Wren in the container. When I looked down inside I saw EGGS!! 5 reddish-brownish white eggs. I hope we can see the baby birds too.

Our new friendly puppy!

Dear friends we got a new pup! He is a Chihuahua Pug mix and his name is Chico. Our dog, Bear went missing. We were sad. Bye Bye friends. Have a good day. Love, Kate.

Friendly Owls

Hi guys our laptop messed up so I haven't been able to post much. Now its fixed. I learned all the owls that live in our state. [BARN OWL] [EASTERN SCREECH OWL] [GREAT HORNED OWL] [LONG-EARED OWL] [NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL] [SHORT-EARED OWL] [BARRED OWL] In fact there is a Barred Owl nest at our creek. I do not know where it is . But it is there because I hear it near the creek at night. I also hear the Eastern Screech Owl at night. Have a nice day! Love, Kate

Friendly Deer Path

Hi,
At our driveway, deer have been crossing. The other morning our dog, Bear was asleep by the driveway. A deer came across. Bear would chase any deer. The deer walked across, and Bear didn't even notice!

Friendly Squirrel Nest

We have been seeing a lot of squirrels. So I made a squirrel house! I put it on a tree next to the big creek. I used an empty black plastic flower pot. A couple of weeks later, my sister and I went to our big pond, and then to the big creek. We saw two squirrels where my squirrel house was! We went to go check on the house. As we got there we saw a .............SQUIRREL NEST INSIDE!!!
